Waiting and Reservation System at Geodae Gomtang Haeundae
On our way from Daegu to Haeundae, we used the Catch Table waiting app in advance to join the line before arriving.

We registered on the waiting list at around 11:40 AM and were seated at 2:22 PM. Seating moves faster once the peak lunch hours pass. The Catch Table app allows you to delay your entry order up to two times if you need extra time.

Menu and Order Details at Geodae Gomtang
From the menu at Geodae Gomtang, we ordered their signature dish, the Deep Poyan Gomtang (농후하고 더 진한 뽀얀곰탕), along with a half portion of Jeyuk (제육). We also considered mandu (Korean dumplings), but the kimchi mandu was already sold out.

When you order gomtang, condiment sets and side dishes are served individually for each diner. The standard condiments include chopped green onions, meat dipping sauce, minced garlic, and salted pollack roe.

Fresh napa cabbage kimchi and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) are also served. The kimchi features a mild, refreshing flavor with low heat, making it easy to enjoy for children and seniors alike.

Side Dish: Jeyuk (Boiled Pork Slices)
This is the half portion of Jeyuk (제육) we ordered. At this restaurant, “Jeyuk” refers to boiled pork slices, while “Suyuk” (수육) refers to boiled beef slices. Served chilled, the boiled pork is delightfully chewy and firm. Enjoy it dipped in the accompanying salted shrimp sauce (saewu-jeot).

Tasting the Signature Deep Poyan Gomtang
The main dish, Deep Poyan Gomtang, arrived at the table. Despite using no additives like milk or nuts, the broth is remarkably rich and milky white. A single spoon delivers deep savory flavor, making the soup deeply satisfying on its own.

Inside the broth is a generous serving of tender beef, priced at 24,000 KRW (approx. $18) per bowl. Dipping the meat into the special red sauce included with the side dishes offers a whole new flavor profile. Its refined quality makes it an excellent restaurant choice when dining with parents or family.

Takeout, Shipping, and Multilingual Support
The restaurant offers takeout and nationwide delivery options. Their products can also be purchased through Korean e-commerce platforms like Market Kurly and Smart Store.

Because Geodae Gomtang is affiliated with Geodae Galbi (거대갈비), a renowned luxury Korean beef rib restaurant in Haeundae, premium raw beef gift sets are also available for order directly at the register.

Many international tourists visit this spot, and menus are printed in English, Chinese, and Japanese alongside Korean. The customer mix is roughly 3:1 between local residents and travelers. The staff can handle basic communication in foreign languages for a seamless ordering process. With its mild, universally appealing taste, it is a recommended dining destination for anyone visiting Haeundae in Busan.
