Discover Hoesoodaok: A Peaceful Jeju Tea House

  • by
Jeju tea house

If you are searching for a tranquil Jeju tea house during your trip to South Korea, Hoesoodaok (회수다옥) offers a unique place to relax and enjoy local brews. Opened in 2024 in Hoesu-dong, Seogwipo, this modern establishment brings traditional tea traditions to life in a soothing atmosphere.

What to Expect at This Jeju Tea House

Hoesoodaok is set within a renovated traditional Jeju house that is over 30 years old. The structure preserves the island's unique residential style while blending modern design touches across its indoor and outdoor spaces.

Inside, guests are served freshly brewed Jeju tea by a tea master using authentic Jeju clay teaware. The tea tables are built with basalt stone walls, echoing the natural volcanic landscape of Jeju Island. The name of the tea house takes inspiration from Doraemul, an old name for the local village that means "water flowing back around."

Menu and Tea Experience

The primary offering at Hoesoodaok is the Jeju Premium Tea Omakase Experience (a curated, course-style tea tasting service). In addition to the omakase tasting, the menu features handcrafted tea, premium tea, and handmade rare cheesecake.
