Songjeong Surfing Lessons: 4 Schools, Prices & English Options

Panorama of Songjeong Beach and the surrounding Busan coast

For an English-led surfing lesson at Songjeong, start by investigating Surfholic’s English-labelled KKday offer or the Surf Road Airbnb experience. If price is your priority, Day Surf displays a ₩45,000 promotion, but English instruction is unconfirmed. Surf Bay advertises a ₩50,000 trial; confirm the teaching time and language before paying. [5] [9] [6] [1]

The comparison below separates advertised prices from confirmed bookings, and coached instruction from extra practice. Information was checked on October 21, 2026. We have not booked or personally tested these schools; the photographs show archival Songjeong beach scenes, not their facilities or customers. [1] [7] [9]

Choose the instruction language first, then compare coached minutes and the total payable price for that exact offer. A school’s direct rate does not establish the price or inclusions of its English-labelled platform product. Our comparison is a shortlist for checking offers, rather than a ranking of teaching quality. [3] [5] [9]

If you are still deciding whether to spend the day at Songjeong, use the beach comparison first. Once you choose a lesson, build the rest of the outing around its confirmed meeting time. [7]

Day Surf describes 90 minutes of teaching followed by 90 minutes of free surfing. Its three-hour total is therefore not three hours of coaching. Surfholic’s direct beginner programme describes 15 minutes of theory and 105 minutes of practical instruction, with additional free surf subject to its conditions. [7] [3] [4]

Surf Bay’s approximately two-hour trial description does not clearly separate teaching from the rest of the session. Ask how much of your booking is instructor-led. Before booking any offer, also ask how changing, fitting equipment and showering fit around the stated session length. [1]

Surf Bay: a trial package with a seasonal condition

Surf Bay’s direct site advertises a trial at ₩50,000 for approximately two hours, with board, wetsuit and shower use. It also lists a separate ₩65,000 beginner offer. The current site gives its address as 27 Songjeongjungang-ro 36beon-gil, first floor. [1]

The Naver trial-booking details exclude free surfing in peak season, so the website’s after-class free-surf description should not be read as a year-round entitlement. The booking text also warns that same-day cancellations and no-shows are difficult to refund. We did not verify a complete earlier-cancellation schedule or English instruction. [2]

Before choosing it, confirm the coached time, English availability, peak-season dates and whether the booking instructions require a separate phone confirmation. Keep the current provider meeting point rather than relying on an old blog’s directions. [1] [2]

Surfholic: compare the direct lesson with the English-labelled offer

Surfholic’s official Songjeong price list gives ₩65,000 for one beginner session with board and wetsuit rental. The advertised instruction is two hours. Its curriculum allows restrictions on subsequent free surfing according to conditions and participant circumstances, so do not plan around unlimited independent water time. [3] [4]

KKday product 103714 separately lists English/Korean, about two hours, board, suit, shower, soap and towels. Check an English-speaking instructor for your chosen time and compare that product’s checkout price; the direct ₩65,000 rate is not a verified KKday quote. [5]

For that KKday product, the displayed cancellation terms allow free cancellation at least two days before the selected date, a 50% fee one day before and no same-day refund. Its weather wording contains specific warning exceptions rather than a blanket rain refund. These are platform-product terms, not verified direct-booking rules. [5]

Day Surf displays a one-session event price of ₩45,000, reduced from ₩65,000. Its price page includes board, wetsuit and shower use. We did not find an event end date or confirm the rate for a selected booking date. English instruction also remains unconfirmed. [6]

The programme splits the visit into 90 minutes of teaching and 90 minutes of free surfing. Choose it for a price-and-timetable comparison only after checking language and availability; the lower displayed price does not establish equivalent coaching or service across schools. [7] [6]

The direct refund page states a full refund through three days before, a 50% penalty one day before, and no refund for same-day cancellation or absence. It also describes full refunds for weather-related postponement or cancellation. The two-day-before rate is not explicit, so ask rather than interpolating it. [6]

Surf Road: verify the channel and meeting point

Surf Road’s Naver Place lists one hour of beginner instruction plus free surf at ₩50,000, or two hours plus free surf at ₩65,000. We did not establish the exact equipment and shower inclusions for each lesson offer. A rental-only shower note should not be substituted for lesson-package terms. [8]

A separate Surf Road Airbnb experience describes an approximately two-hour activity hosted in English, Indonesian and Korean. This is evidence for that listing, not every Naver session. Its displayed cancellation rule gives a full refund at least one day before the start; confirm the deadline and availability for your selected date. [9]

Current Naver Place gives 54 Songjeongjungang-ro 36beon-gil, while an older tourism directory gives number 43 on that street. We have not resolved the conflict. Obtain the exact meeting-point pin from your confirmed booking before making travel arrangements. [8] [10]

Which offer should an English-speaking beginner investigate first?

Our suggested order is to check the English-labelled Surfholic KKday and Surf Road Airbnb listings first, then compare the actual slots, totals and terms. If Day Surf or Surf Bay appeals more on price or timetable, ask for written confirmation of English instruction before paying. No school’s language option has been confirmed by telephone for a particular session. [5] [9] [6] [1]

Send a focused question: “For our date and number of beginners, can an instructor teach the full lesson in English? How many students share that instructor, how many minutes are coached, and what is the total including board, wetsuit and shower?” These are booking questions; the answers are not established by this comparison. [5] [9]

Getting to your lesson: confirm the shop, not just the beach

Use the provider’s final meeting-point pin and check a current route from your hotel. The Beach Train includes Songjeong, but a tourist-railway stop is not automatically your school’s meeting point. Keep a fixed lesson appointment separate from an optional coastal ride. [11] [8]

If combining the lesson with Blueline Park, check the route and available departure before buying a second activity. The separate ride guide explains the Beach Train and Sky Capsule distinction; avoid building a tight connection from an archival photograph. [11]

Before paying: settle these five details

Confirm the instructor language and group size; coached minutes versus free practice; the complete equipment and shower total; the exact meeting-point pin; and the cancellation deadline for the channel you will actually pay through. Save that offer’s terms rather than combining the most attractive details from different websites. [2] [5] [6] [9]

Ask what happens if the operator cannot run the session, and which conditions restrict extra free surfing. Leave time for changing and the return journey before adding dinner or another paid activity. The summer beach views here illustrate the destination only; they cannot establish conditions for your date. [4] [7] [5]
