PLANET 16 stands out in the Gwangalli area for its clean facilities and budget-friendly pricing. Being a one-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach, popular destinations like Millak Waterfront Park and Millak the Market are within easy walking distance, making sightseeing convenient without a car. Nearby Gwangan and Geumnyeonsan stations also provide quick transit toward Haeundae and Busan Station.

Exterior of PLANET 16 Busan Hotel

The entire building features a sleek, white-toned design. Turning into the side street, the PLANET 16 sign is immediately visible. While budget accommodations sometimes feel dated, this newly constructed building felt fresh and exceptionally clean from the moment of entry.

Guest room doors use digital keypads. You simply enter the passcode provided during check-in. Eliminating physical key cards makes coming and going with luggage hassle-free.

Shared Lounge & Kitchen Amenities

The shared lounge on the 5th floor acts as a communal kitchen and relaxation space for all guests. The area is consistently kept clean and well-maintained.

A long counter desk lines the window wall. Opening the blinds reveals a nice view of the surrounding street, creating a bright and spacious feel.

Brewing morning coffee here was one of the most enjoyable moments of the trip.

Essential small appliances are provided in the lounge, including a microwave, water purifier, and electric kettle.

Baskets filled with instant ramen and light snacks are set out for guests. Having convenient night snacks available after a late outing is a welcome bonus.

Plates, mugs, and utensils are organized neatly on shelves, so guests do not need to bring their own supplies.

Decorated with small plush toys and green indoor plants, the shared lounge feels warm and cozy.

Unusually for a budget hotel, a multifunction printer/scanner unit is installed for guest use, which is a rare and useful amenity.

Two washer-dryer combo machines are available side by side. For stays longer than two nights, this makes packing light much easier. Summer days in Busan can be warm, but washing clothes at night means having fresh attire ready by morning.

A full-sized refrigerator in the lounge provides ample space to store drinks and snacks purchased at convenience stores.

The recycling and waste separation area is tidy and straightforward to use.

Inside the Guest Room

While room sizes are compact, the space contains only essential furniture, keeping the room uncluttered and tidy.

The green plaid bedding contrasts nicely against the clean white walls, looking attractive in photos. Blinds on the window make it simple to adjust morning sunlight.

If your itinerary centers around touring all day and returning mainly to rest, the room size is ideal.

Individual wall-mounted air conditioning units allow guests to adjust the room temperature easily.

The bathroom features clean white tiles and a circular mirror. Though modest in size, intelligent layouts keep it from feeling cramped.

The shower area is well-maintained and hygienic. Basic toiletries such as shampoo and body wash are provided, saving room in your luggage.

PLANET 16 offers a clean, affordable stay near Gwangalli Beach with valuable extras like laundry access. Extra towels were provided, and the host was very attentive. Minor drawbacks include somewhat firm/high pillows and basic audio from the room projector, but given the location, cleanliness, and price point, overall satisfaction is high. Recommended for travelers planning a 3-day, 2-night itinerary in Busan or looking for cozy lodging near Gwangalli Beach.

Pros: 1-minute walk to Gwangalli Beach, clean rooms & lounge, generous towels and amenities, helpful owner, reasonable pricing. Cons: Pillows are a bit high, beam projector audio is basic.
