Located at the foot of Gujibong Peak in Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, the Gimhae National Museum (국립김해박물관) offers an engaging look into ancient Korean history. Opened on July 29, 1998, the museum was established to research and preserve the cultural heritage of the Gaya Kingdom on the site where the ancient state is believed to have been founded.
Visitors can explore diverse cultural assets of Gaya, prehistoric relics from the Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do regions, and artifacts from Byeonhan, the confederation that served as the foundation for Gaya.

Exhibits and Architecture at Gimhae National Museum
The exterior of the museum features black bricks representing iron ore and charcoal, two materials for which the Gaya Kingdom was renowned. This unique design highlights the historical significance of the region's early metallurgy and trade.

The museum houses two exhibition halls, and the walkway leading to these halls features approximately 1,300 artifacts on display, offering a comprehensive view of regional archaeological history.
