Oil Tank Culture Park (문화비축기지) in Seoul offers an inspiring example of urban regeneration. After serving as an oil storage facility for 41 years, the venue was transformed into a public cultural space dedicated to art, performances, and leisure.
Highlights of Oil Tank Culture Park
The park features five original oil tanks that have been repurposed into performance halls, exhibition spaces, and a multi-purpose pavilion. A sixth tank was newly built to serve as the complex's information center.

Additionally, the site's former temporary parking lot was repurposed into a culture yard, providing an open outdoor space where visitors can relax, participate in activities, or enjoy public performances.

Operating Hours and Practical Details
The main park grounds are open 24 hours a day year-round. However, specific facilities inside the park operate on set schedules:

– T1–T6 Tanks: 10:00–18:00
– Cafe Tank6: 10:00–19:00

While the outdoor grounds remain open daily, Cafe Tank6 and the indoor exhibition halls are closed every Monday.

On-site parking is available. For visitor inquiries, you can contact the information center at +82-2-376-8410.
